FEEDING THE COMMUNITY

Students of the Citadel Campus Ministry (CCM) truly believe in reaching out to serve their local community of Greensboro, NC.
One way CCM has served the community is through voluntary partnerships with other local faith-based ministries that feed individuals who are food insecure. CCM students unite on Mondays in downtown Greensboro to feed an average of fifty individuals and families. This outreach gives students an opportunity to encourage the citizens in the community while also gaining a broader perspective of service and economic realities.
Many CCM students have admitted that through their service they have become more appreciative of the provisions the Lord has blessed them with, including food, shelter, and the opportunity to attend college and earn a degree.
Without a doubt, serving those who are less fortunate in our local community gives CCM students a clear understanding of Matthew 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (KJV).
